Meet the Viking team 

Lewis Haighton 

Lewis is the Managing Director of VMS with a wealth of experience working the in the medical industry, with many years in a frontline capacity. Lewis also has many years’ experience in the security industry and also holds a valid SIA Close Protection License. Lewis was one of the founding directors who developed VMS from the simple idea of creating a frontline medical company that delivers patient focused care at affordable cost. 



Alistair Mackay 

Alistair has been working in the health care industry for the past eight years. He has held various roles ranging from community support worker, Health care assistant and most recently qualifying as a HCPC Paramedic. Over the past four years Alistair has held a senior management role within a national charity, managing event delivery in a wide geographical area. 
Alistair joined Viking Medical Solutions Ltd in December 2017 as an event EMT. Due to his vast experience and knowledge of the industry, Alistair was appointed as our Operations Manager in May 2018. Alistair’s hard work so far has resulted in Viking Medical Solutions Ltd gaining CQC registration as well as improving our equipment and fleet standardisation. 

Carlos Gonzalez 

Carlos Gonzalez is a Spanish pharmacist who gained his degree back in Madrid in 2001. Carl worked in Retail pharmacy for Boots several stores in Ipswich and surrounding area for a couple of years. He then moved onto hospitals where he worked as a rotational pharmacist for a few years, in addition to covering for the local hospice and also providing a clinical service to in Hollesley Bay prison in Suffolk. He has also led Education and Training projects.  
He currently works in clinical research in Ipswich Hospital and also as a Pharmacology Lecturer at the University of Suffolk. He has also worked as a laboratory officer for San Miguel Brewery back in Spain and as an English teacher back in the day. Carlos is also fluent in four languages.
